Top 10 Fall Fashion Trends

Posted by Ace Agency on Oct 08, 2015

Leaves aren’t the only things changing color this month. Fall fashion trends are making their way from the runway to the rack and there’s no shortage of adventurous looks and classic strongholds. Though the fall fashion shows wrapped earlier this year, the ensuing trends are just now surfacing. Take a look at the ten most popular looks to make an appearance (or reappearance) in fall fashion.

The Mighty Mini

Mini skirts are a go-to item during summer months, but designers had a field day with fall-centric minis. Pair a mini with boots, or wear a long jacket and bold tights to compliment the high hemline. No matter what the accompanying accessories and fabrics are, the mighty mini is showing staying power this year.

Gloves

Move over Audrey Hepburn, Amal Clooney is making a case to be the new goddess of the glove. Fashion columnists near and far crediting Mrs. Clooney for inspiring a bevy of hand wear from designers including Prada and Oscar de la Renta.

Bold Lip Color

While the fashion world primarily focuses on the clothing coming down the runway, there was no avoiding the beautiful, bold lip colors that were painted on several pouty lips. Embrace vibrant colors this fall and have a bit of fun with your lipstick.

BoHo’s Back

Bohemian-inspired fashion isn’t a new concept, however, this year designers brought the free-spirited style back with gusto. Wispy skirts, feather accents, and charismatic floral prints revealed that the Bohemian look is back and better than ever.

Patchwork

In line with the Bo Ho revival, patchwork pieces were a taste of the 70’s during 2015 fashion weeks. Chloé and Valentino are only two of the high profile designers to piece together various prints and textures for dresses, skirts, and jackets.

Gray is The New Black

Gray pantsuits, gray sweaters, gray skirts… It’s safe to say that shades of gray dominated the runway. It’s understandable considering that soft pewter hues and deep, smokey grays wear well for any occasion.

Cape Chic

Capes were a component in several fall collections, and ranged from sophisticated to street-inspired. They create a stunning silhouette and add a bit of flair to any wardrobe.

Fringe

Has fringe really ever gone out of style? Designers including Valentino are giving a nod to the flirty fabulousness of fringe. The styles ranged from soft and delicate to chunky and loud, but above all, there were strands upon strands of fringed movement.

Fabulous Furs

Faux furs have a fluctuating history in fashion, but this year fuzzy collars and fur-lined trim are all the rage. There are even a few fur-laden boots gracing runways and store windows alike.

Black Eye Liner

This makeup tool is a classic, but both street style and high fashion are getting creative with black eye liner. Classic, thin lines are a go-to look, but flashy cat-eyes are also stretching into fall fashion trends.
